I did this digi LO today using some of the wonderful items that have been submitted for the May Colour Challenge over at Digi Scrap Obsession. I only used items made by Fanfan-Rue des Anges.

I also turned it into a Quick Page which you can download here from Mediafire and here from 4Shared. It's the very first QP I've ever made and I hope you like it.

I can't believe it's been so long since I blogged! I've been sooooooooo busy scrapping! Here is a digi layout that I did today. It's for my teams challenge on UK Scrappers.

I used a free digi kit by BZB Designs called Maddies Garden and based it on a sketch from somewhere! Sorry, vague I know.

I've done a ton of "real", digi and hybrid LO's in the last few months and they're all uploaded to my photobucket.

I will blog some more and I'm also going to share my work with the designers who created the beautiful digi kits that I have.

I can't believe I haven't put anything on my blog for 7 months! Disgraceful!

I've been really busy sewing, scrapping and Christmas.

I've just finished this digi LO for a challenge over on the Hodge Podge Art blog. The challenge is hosted by one of my favourite digi designers Katie Hadfield.

This LO is a bit bonkers! I used Pink Petticoat digi papers, some which I re-coloured to match the shade of Layla's dress. I took some photos of her all dressed up and ready to attend her very first Christmas Party.

Another digi layout of my grandfather and his brother for an album for my Mum.

This layout will be hybrid when printed out. I want digi aswell, as we're turning our old PC into a slideshow and jukebox connected to the large tv in the living room.

Papers are from a free digi kit at Scrapbook Bytes by designer Pamela Weiss called Vintage Paper Pack.

The layout is based on a sketch by Triple the Sketch.

The button is by Diane Rooney at Digital Scrapbook Creations - collection is called Henri.

We lost my maternal grandfather 14 years ago, but my Mum and I still miss him - I don't think that ever stops does it.

My uncle scanned lots of photos that he borrowed from my Nana and he e-mailed me some as I wanted to make my Mum an album about "Dad". The album I'm using is an odd size as it was originally a ring binder photo album with sticky pages and acetate - you know the kind - the pages are a bit smaller than A4. I've emptied one of the albums to scrap the photos and it's a shame to ditch them.

I've done both LO's so far digi, but when I get them printed I'm going to remove a few elements and add physical bits for the tactile element.

I used papers from the Comfort paper collection by MC Conrad and made my own ribbons and tag etc. Layout based on a sketch from PageMaps.

This LO uses a free digi kit from 2 Peas.
Designer is Shannon Freeman and the collection is called Back 2 School.

My DH's brother got married on Sunday and here is the first page scrapped. It's a digi page.

Wedding photos

I just wanted to share these photos. The one on the left is scanned from an original photo and the one on the right is scanned from the negative.

We didn't have a photographer and got a friend to take a load of photos for us. The films were over exposed and everyone had an orangey glow about them. It didn't bother me at the time (10 years ago) but the more photos I've taken etc it has bothered me. So a few months back I started the mammoth task of scanning all negatives and photos that I have. I've almost finished. But the difference between our wedding photos and what I've scanned from the negatives is the biggest difference ever. I got a bit tearful at the difference and am now planning on scrapping all the photos using my wedding flowers on the pages as they are fake gerberas and I even have one of the button holes sitting on my monitor stand at this very moment.

Pink Petticoat birthday card

I made this card for my friends birthday last week. It's A4 in size and I coloured in the hippo digitally using the colours I chose out of Pink Petticoat papers. I used a combination of their collections as I have almost all of them.

It was very well received and she has had lots of comments about it from friends and family - all good I hasten to add!

Here is a picture of the Viney family that attended the wedding. I'm the fat one in blue behind Layla and Ron. Gosh I sooooooo hate my hair! It needs to grow quickly or I'll chop it all off again! My friend has said that she'll put extensions in for me; so I'm going to buy some and go visit her. It'll be cheaper than me getting them done in a salon.

I used the left over material from a suit I've made to wear to a wedding at the weekend. I'll post a picture of the outfit after the weekend as it doesn't look as good on the hanger as it does on - if that makes sense!

I'll upload some cards soon as I have been making them, just haven't taken photos of them. I've even made my first Christmas card!

This is the last one I'm uploading tonight as I'm tired and I've spent all evening in front of the PC. Which is particularly bad as I've been suffering with a migraine for the past 48 hours!

I can't believe it's been so long since I posted.

I've made loads of cards since then but as my PC is no longer in my craft room I keep forgetting to upload the pictures and update my blog. So here's the first of many card postings tonight.

I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted! I have made some cards, but haven't downloaded the images off the camera yet. I've undertaken the immense task of scanning photos to do loads of digi pages. I'm still scanning, but I can see the end (thank goodness!)

For this page I used the colours from the photo and made my own papers using a black and white background by Pink Petticoat. The brads were made by me.

I absolutely love this photo of my little Tia. She was 8 weeks old and ready to come home with us. She was picked for us by our friend out of the litter as she was the one who escaped their pen first even though she was the smallest in the litter. We also had one of her brothers Merlot, who is completely opposite and laid back and she's hyper! Love them both so much. We have called them "The Kids" since we had them and that hasn't changed even though we now have a human one!

This is (as the title says!) my first digital scrapbook layout. I've been reading lots of tutorials and playing with making brads and changing the colour of embellishments. This one is quite simple and I wasn't sure what to do about the journalling and changed my mind several times! I'm very shocked at how large the layered image is - over 50 mb!

Well, this is what I've been working on for a few days. My first mini album. I made a few mistakes along the way, but I've learnt from them!

I made all the backing papers myself using images from a collection from PC Crafter called Baby is Here by the designer Tina Wenke.

It was very well received by the parents today.

Rock Clock!

At Christmas I asked my brothers if either of them needed a clock as I wanted to alter one. My youngest brother said he wanted one for his studio. Now, his studio space is what most people use as a dining room, but that's where he writes songs and records music. He's a bit of a contradiction my brother; very sensible and grown up job by day - metal head, head banging, lead singer and guitarist by night!

Anyway this is what I used:

- Patterned paper from a stack by DCWV Black and White prints

- Musical nots, microphone and guitar made using templates from Crafty Templates

I stitched the strings on with metallic thread. And used 8 brads - 8! I don't normally like using 1! I like to just look at them! We've all got something in our stash like that!

Daughters Birthday card

I can't believe it! Our gorgeous daughter is 2 tomorrow - already! Where does the time go! This is a monster sized card - 12 x 12! I think I might stick it in a frame afterwards and hang it in her bedroom.

- Image is from PC Crafter; set is called Daisy Bear Princess by the talented designer Lori Gardner. I coloured it in with Prismas and sansador. I coloured it in totally as I wanted it to be really vibrant.

- brads are from my stash (I can't believe I used 6! Brads are a bit of an obsession!)

- gem is from a tub I got from Lakeland when I first started card making.

- name and number were cut using Cricut

I made this card from a fab template by www.craftytemplates.co.uk for a challenge set on the UK Scrappers website. I left the pocket off mine as I wanted it to look like the cowboy boots that I used to wear when I was a rocker (or goth's as they are now known!). I left off the metal toe and heel covers and chains though! I still have my 3 pairs of cowboy boots and could never part with them. I have 2 black pairs and a burgundy pair. And I still wear them! Except only with jeans now and not mini skirts or tasseled gypsy skirt.

The leather effect red paper and black base card were from the Papermill shop, tassel is off an old handbag and all the stitching was done by hand.

The Lola image has been coloured in using prisma color pencils and blended with Sansador.

I realised today that I hadn't made a card for my MIL for Mothers Day yet. Well, she has a Grandma one made and ready to go but not a Mum one. I am working my way through a stack of stamped Sugar's and this was the next one so that's the one she's getting!

Backing papers and flower element are from a digi kit by Angela Young called "Angie's Groovalicious Kit".
Stamp was coloured in with prisma pencils and blended with sansador. Boots were coloured with a Sakura glaze pen as I thought they looked a bit like wellies!

Added a piece of ribbon and black brad from my stash. I have to admit that the letters to spell out Mum are peel off's coloured in black.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but I absolutely love stitching on card! I can't just sit and watch TV so I stitch at the same time. I had the idea of using thread the same colour as the card stock after seeing the beautiful embossed cards on the Cricut forum. I've made this for a cousins wedding. I know the colours are right as I made their invitations!

I've seen lots of beautiful embossed cards on the Cricut forum that had been done with a Cuttlebug. I don't have one (yet!) but I do have a Fiskars ShapeBoss. The embossing is nowhere near as deep but you can see it!

I should've posted this yesterday as I made it on Sunday but just didn't get a chance.

I'm way ahead of myself and made my DH a Fathers Day card from our dogs.

The image is from a PC Crafter collection called Bugs and Boys - sorry I don't know the artists name and it's not on their webiste anymore. It only has 1 dog on the image so I fiddled about with it. They often lay on their backs like that so I couldn't resist!

The patterned paper is from Chris Warners Tempting Tones and Textures earth CD.

Basic card stock is just from my stash and the brads are from my local craft shop.

The sentiments are hand stitched.

I received my 120 prisma pencils today and I'm very excited - although not about sharpening them! I've decided to do them as I use them instead of giving myself a blister by sharpening them all at once! Still have about 10 cards to put together and another 2 completed and waiting to be scanned so I can put them on here. So I'd better get going and do some!

Another exciting Saturday night in our house. I made 7 cards! The images and backing papers are from Pink Petticoat and I coloured in the images with Sakura Stardust pens and one with a Sakura glaze pen. The photos of these cards were taken at night so the colours aren't as good as in real life.

These cards haven't been made for anybody in particular, so I've no idea where they will end up in the future!

Here's a card that I made today. Simple, but I think it's pretty.

- Patterned card stock from Kanban

- Image from PC Crafter from a set of graphics called Honey Bunnies which are drawn by Laurie Furnell. I coloured the black outline image using the pastel pencil and sansador technique.

- Silver card was some cheap stuff from The Works

- Silver brads; unsure of origin. Bought them from my local craft shop

- Sentiment is printed.
